YEAR 4 - 2nd CALL "LOS ALMENDROS"

Year 4 graders had their 2nd call language exchange with Chalgrove School...have a look to their photos...THEY LOVED IT!!!

YEAR 3 - 2nd CALL PREP. TIME "LOS ALMENDROS"

Year 3 made a lot different activities to prepare their 2nd call...

• Realizado un arcoíris para familiarizarnos con el vocabulario relacionado con frutas y verduras
• Pintado y recortado diferentes tipos de comida
• Después  hemos pegado en la caja los ingredientes clasificándolos de acuerdo con las diferentes comidas: desayuno, comida, cena, merienda etc.
• Practicado la escritura de los conceptos que más nos costaban como salchicha, berenjena, lechuga
• Reflexionado sobre los hábitos saludables y una dieta equilibrada
• Escrito preguntas  y se han elegido usar en el intercambio las que más se repitieron
• Hemos cantado, jugado y lo hemos pasado muy bien.

Finally last wednesday 23rd March 3ºC had its language exchange call...they loved it!!! Les encantó....

YEAR 5 - 2nd CALL "LOS ALMENDROS"

Year 5 graders did their 2nd call last wednesday...they had lot of fun...and they loved it!!! Thanks!!!!

Some of them asked the teacher: ¿Por qué comen eso a diferentes horas? ...another one said..."Yo quiero probar un english breakfast"

YEAR 6 - PREP. TIME + 2nd CALL "LOS ALMENDROS" SCHOOL

6th graders spent time searching for information on the web about spanish "tapas"...Lieke the language assistant helped us a lot...

We have enjoyed this second online call about traditional food, time tables for main meals and many other interesting things COMER COMER COMER! Para poder crecer!

The other 6th grade group had a lot of fun too..
Hello! Hola! Hello! Super ready and interested in what our British friends are telling us. Fish and chips, favourite desserts, British breakfast. Do you know what? Some have eaten Spanish food!

Year 3 Video Exchange

Here is photo of year 3 taking part in the video exchange. Here we are singing the song we learnt in Spanish for you "El tren de la cantina" we really enjoyed learning this song and putting actions to it for the different foods like: queso and salchicha  Did you like it?

Year 4 video exchange

Here is a photo of year 4 during the video exchange today. They really enjoyed presenting some typical English foods to you in Spanish like Fish and Chips, pies, roast dinner and custard. 

What year 4 liked the best... they thought your English was very good and could hear everything very clearly they also enjoyed your DO-RE-MI song it was excellent.

Video exchanges in March

Here are some photos of our second video exchange which took place today. Here is the year 5 class which was the first group of the day.

We loved your presentations in English about meal times and what you eat in Spain. We were very surprised that you eat your dinner so late in Spain at 9 or 10 0'clock you probably think our 'Cena' is too early at 6 or 7 o'clock?

What the children loved the best.... your song in English about the fruits. They recognised it but you sang a longer version which they loved!

PenPal letters received!

A very big thank you to Year 5 and Maria for sending the penpal letters the children were so excited  to receive them today and they can't wait to write back.  The letters were in English and Spanish; we were very impressed with your English and we hope you will be with our Spanish. The children particularly  enjoyed the pictures you sent them.  We hope to send you our replies very soon.
